Heavy metals
After obtaining written confirmation from our raw material
suppliers, we can confirm that we are in compliance with European
Directives on Heavy Metals for all virgin film supplied by
Polybags. This includes Heavy Metals (Cadmium, Mercury, Lead,
Barium, Antimony, Arsenic, Selenium or Chromium) Halogens
(Chlorine, Fluorine, Iodine or Bromine) or substances containing
any of these elements.
Producer responsibility obligations
Polybags is a member of the Wastepack Recycling Scheme which
carries out our recycling and recovery obligations on our behalf.
Our membership number is WP/698834/00.
COSHH (Control Of Substances Hazardous To Health)
Polythene is is a non-hazardous material made from ethylene. It
has no associated toxicity, and no special precautions are
necessary in handling or storage. It can be disposed of with
other refuse, although re-cycling is preferable.
