European industrial compostable standard EN13432

This product is fully compostable in accordance with the EN13432 standard:

• Packaging must break down into pieces so that, after 12 weeks, 90% or more can pass through a 2x2mm mesh
• 90% or more of the material must biodegrade into CO2, water and biomass within six months
• Packaging must conform to safety limits for fluorine, volatile matter and 10 heavy metals, including copper, zinc and mercury
• Material should not affect the quality of any compost it is added to, as determined by ecotoxicity tests

How to store compostable peel & seal bags

We recommend these bags are stored in their original packaging in a cool, dry place, away from heat sources or direct sunlight. Use within 12 months.

Compostable peel & seal bags - how to dispose

Please place this product in your organic/food waste bin if available (check locally for recycling options), as it is designed to break down in industrial composting conditions within 12 weeks. Also suitable for home composting, although will most likely take longer (timescales will vary depending on disposal conditions).
